I have one in my D44 front end. Cant give a good review on it just yet since I havent actually drove the truck since it was put in the axle. I can say that for the install, the carrier had to be modified slightly for it to fit (clearance problem) other than that it seemed to go in fairly smoothly.

Bill at Torgue Masters was very helpful in getting me the information on everything I needed to do the install. He even called once to make sure it arived next day air like he promised and again a couple days later to ask how the install went.

hey, at least its got some good customer service :) thats always a plus when looking into a product... form things i have heard here and on yotatech, they seem to be on top of email and phone inquiries and ready to help....

There doesn't appear to be one available for the 8.8 rear. Too bad.

last time I talked with him, he told me they were stil working on developing one for the 8.8 but didnt have a timeline on when it would be available yet.

Aussie Locker

The Aussie Locker has been installed in USA and Canadian offroad vehicles for over 1 1/2 years. We have an enviable reliability record, with only one locker having to be replace due to a product issue. There are product reviews all over the internet, but Pirate4x4 did one over a year ago, it is still in the Toyota daily driver and has been beat up on trails all over the south. We will finally have the Ford 8.8 in 45 days as they are in production now. All other models are in stock.

Any more info/reviews on these aussie lockers? Wanting to put some lockers on my front axle and waiting for results!

Apparently their is one available for the 8.8.. It is part # XD-48831.. They also make one for the front IFS D35 XD-13527B.. There is a PDF file on aussie locker's website with a full list of available products. https://offroadlockers.com/Model_List.pdf

i got one for my D30 on my Xj and it worked GREAT. did not notice it been there at all. go get it

Currently I have 3.27 gearing. I was planning on getting the aussie lockers for my front D35 IFS and installed by christmas. sometime mid next year, I'll be upgrading my gears to 4.56. will my lockers be affected with my gear change?

Since the Aussie is a lunchbox style locker the gear change shouldn't affect them. Explorers only have one size carrier....so you should be fine.

whew!!! what a relief. I'd thought I'd never get my lockers! I was getting tired of hearing..."alright you're good to go...NOW GIVE IT HELL!!!"

Is the front IFS D35 XD-13527B for the 95 and up the same for the 94's? I have the IFS D35 REV up front but shows up as a different model (XD-13527) on the aussie website.

not the same. yours is a d35 reverse rotation like you mention. 95 is a whole different setup and is not a real d35.

Will this aussie lunchbox style locker work in a l/s rear end, and are there any disadvantages to a lunchbox style locker?

I THINK you have to have an open carrier in your 8.8 for the aussie.
