I have a 1998 EB, 4.0 SOHC, 4x4, stock. From what I understand it is supposed to have auto 4x4, where 4wd would kick in automatically when it detected tire slippage, or some loss in traction. That is not the case. I have used it in the snow, sand, etc, and it would not automatically switch into 4x4 High, I would have to put it on 4x4 High using the selector switch. I heard somewhere (i forget where) that it was a solenoid that was a relatively easy fix. I would appreciate any help and advice.
