Hey all,

Strange problem I've noticed in my 2019 Explorer is that when the climate system is on Auto, the vents are never selected unless on Max AC. For normal operation, let's say the Explorer is up to running temp, it's 40 degrees outside and climate is set to 68 on drivers side and 70 on passenger side. The fan spins up to high, but the vents for the Head/Shoulder area and the leg/foot area are never opened. If I manually select them, then the cabin starts to warm up, otherwise I just get this very small amount of air going through.

Anyone else experiencing this? If so have you found a solutions?

It's been a while since I've had my 2017 Platinum but I don't believe that 'Auto' changes the vent selection. That is done manually if I'm not mistaken. 'Auto' just uses the positions of the selected vents.

It's a little more complicated I guess. I have shoulder/head and legs/feet selected, then select auto. Those vents are then deselected as soon as Auto takes over. Fan might be spun up or down correctly, but no air is getting through? This is happening with either air conditioning or heating. This just doesn't seem right.
