Auto Climate Control not working?

Welcome to the Forum martinman.:wavey:
I don't have that issue on my 2014 MKT. I have mine on Auto most of the time. As for the issue of where the air is directed, I believe this is a driver controlled setting.

Hello all!

I've 100% given up on MFT, so lets move on to the next issue...

When I have my A/C on full Auto, no matter what the temp is outside or inside, it seems to always run with the fan on the lowest speed. For example, when it was in the high 80's last week, I'd get onto the car and put the temp on 65, but the fan would never increase speed to cool in the interior off. I would bet it was close to 100 degrees inside after sitting in the sun for a few hours. The only way I could get the fan to increase speed was to push "Max A/C", which would decrease the temp to "Lo", or to manually adjust the fan speed...

Every vehicle I have owned that had an "Auto" setting on the A/C would adjust the fan speed to cool the cabin to the set temp, then decrease to what ever speed would maintain the temp. The Ex doesn't seem to ever do that...

Is something broken, or is this another component of the Explorer that I have no choice but to be completely disappointed by?
When the "Auto" button on my 2015 Ford Explorer Limited didn't work, I replaced the Climate Air Temperature Sensor, Part #EB53-19T562-A & all was fine after that.

That info may help another member, but likely not the member you quoted who was last seen here on April 2, 2013.;)
