ok...i have 2 mirrors...1 problem for each...for one of the mirrors the bracket the goes onto the mounting was cracked and the other one, the stem piece is loose and my mirror falls off...so i decided to go with the mirror that has the cracked bracket and replace the bracket with the other mirror, but in order to remove the wires out of the bracket i had to cut the wire from the sensor...so i did that and put the new bracket on, soldered up the wires and put the mirror in...everything works...however before i did anything, everything worked on both of them, the autolamp would come on at a certain darkness...now, the headlights come on in bright daylight everytime i push the button....i couldnt of have mismatched the wires, cuz 1 was copper, and the other one was silver...so its actually fool proof...so what else could it be???

So the computer thinks it's dark out always? I'd say double check the wiring IF you are certain everything worked before. That's all I could think of unless the mirrors are different.

Yup, that is what its thinking... the sensor should be facing up to the sun....maybe if i plug the other mirror i have in and check it...if it works...then its the other mirror that has gone bad...which is weird cuz i first had this one in the first time and it worked...both of them worked fine...oh ford...:nono:
