I normally have auto lamp on and moved directly under the d in delay. I was thinking of not using this feature or wondering what it would be like to not use it and have to manually switch. On occasion I have noticed the lights stay on extremely longer than normal after turning engine off. At least I think they shut off on there own, isn't there a battery saver feature that shuts anything left on after an extended period of time?

Been reading a lot on retrofit and when I can afford it will do it but think I read others with problems with the auto lamp feature. That or that I heard something about it going on/off can limit bulb life. I live .5mile from work/shop so I don't drive much during the week. Besides the retrofit, I started working on my bezel sway to get an extra switch. Just trying to feel things out.

Anyways, it works and functions except I can't turn the dam thing off. I did notice if I put pressure on it in the off side it will go off and come back on. I'm assuming it's a connection issue (in the mirror/wires). Is it a switch action in the mirror or contacts. I have no problem opening it up (if it can) to clean/fix. Done the same for side mirror switch (heard its a unserviceable part). And thoughts?

Thanks

Well, I just noticed today a crack in the rear view mirror (thats where my auto lamp on/off/delay switch is). So once I get a chance to, I'll remove the rear view mirror and disassemble and take a look inside. Not like I need to be careful now and I'm not sure when or how this cracked happened (although I think I hit my head on it trying to mess with the radio bezel 1 time).

Now that it's not working I may revisit the rear view mirror w/ lcd for a backup cam. Before I didn't want to loose the stock features. Out of curiosity, how hard or is it even possible to relocate the on/off feature to the soon to be 2nd switch in the radio bezel (above the fog light switch switch) while using a stock fog switch? Even if I don't have the delay setting
