my 02 explorer interior lights won't shut off
When I go to lock the car I get a double beep meaning something is wrong
If I go and turn dimmer switch off I can lock the car one beep
I did noticed there is one bulb ot on the outside mirror
replaced it and still no good no power to bulb
Is there wiring problems with this model
i have to keep shutting of dimmer /interior lights to get it to work
correctly
Anyone have this problem or a clue were to start looking?
I would apprecaite any help

I had a problem like that and had Ford fix it. Turns out it was the wire's in the door loom. He said it looked like they had been cut. I don't know how or why because the outside of the loom looked perfect.

It cost me a couple of hundred bucks to fix since the guy didn't go and look right where I told him the problem was and he spent all that wasted time trying to figure it out and on the phone with Ford to get there help

Your great thanks for the help
I am going to rip it apart and check the wires
I got out of the car today tried to unlock the other doors and could not
My wife went on passanger side and hit the unlock and bingo opened back door
I also can't lock the door from outside door pad yet when you shut interior lights off I can
Plus that puddle light has no power
This all leans tward your idea on a broken wire in system
Thanks Nevea for the help , gives me a starting point

I started by wigging the main harnes at the door
This immediately made the light come on
this was the problem everything works
I need to replace the wire for the door or splice the wire
is there any special way to get door panel off
looks like 2 screws on bottom they maybe pull panel up?
i like to thank nevea for the help saved me big
Thanks again
Anyone have a part # for the harness for door?

Took the door off today and found a broken wire
Repaired the wire working perfect
Thanks Again

Your welcome, I'm glad you got it fixed.
