No. The 93 is an A4LD with an EEC-IV computer system. Is the 99 a 4.0L too?

If you are looking for a quick, easy, direct replacement, then no, the '99 transmission won't fit the bill.
If you are willing to tackle a bigger project, then I expect the '99 transmission can be made to work if someone were willing to put the money and effort into it.
