Automatic Car Starter Question

Hello Group. I wanted to find out how hard it is to install an automatic car starter in my Mountaineer. I have the factory anti theft system and wanted to see how hard it be to install with that. The systems I am looking at have install videos. Someone please let me know what they think. I really want one.

A remote start? I installed one in my X and it was SIMPLE. They sell bypass kits for factory alarms so I don't see you having any trouble, though your '97 is a lot more technologically advanced than my '94. Here's a writeup: http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=96635

i installed one in my explorer... it all depends on what kind you get... mine was a bulldog unit that i got for 5 bucks cause it was opened from walmart.... as long as your comfortable playing with your vehicles wiring.... and hooking and splicing into things then it shouldnt bed too difficult...
