I just noticed last night that none of the interior lights or exterior puddle lights will turn on when I unlock my Explorer, or if I remove the key from the ignition. Could this be caused by a faulty fuse?

I've found this to be caused by a loose relay under the dash. Mine will usually start working again after a firm smack on the lower panel to the left of the steering column.

First time it happened was after I went through a carwash. I went under and found the fuse and checked that but it didn't help. Then after putting the fuse back in, it started working again. I guess I jiggled the relay behind the fuse panel enough to make it come back.

I don't recommend smacking something as a fix but hey....it works! (for now) The relay panel is a pain to get to, from what I've read on the board, so I'm sticking with this for now.

I was wondering if you know exactly where to smack it, or what exact fuse to replace. I'm tring to find my manual but I have seem to lost it.

Bump! Found my manual, but none of the fuses listed on it show where the interior lights are.

IIRC, it should say something like "delay" or something like that.

Nope nothing, I checked all the fuses under the steering wheel and none of them are loose nor fried. I'm puzzled to why non of my automatic lights will work. The interior lights all work when you press it to turn it on, and exterior puddle lights arent burned out. I really need help as this is a small hazard at night.
