Im going to change plugs and wires. Autozone recommends their Duralast double silicone wires for the SOHC V6 - they are only $25? They have a limited lifetime warranty. Are they any goood? Also, I will be installing Autolite double Plats.

I had a set one my old Escort and they're junk IMHO. Lucky I got a year out of them, them would be heading back to replace them.

Gotta love the warranty though!

How about Napa wires - cant remember the name brand. They are ~$32 for a set.

I been using the Autozone plug wires for about 60,000 miles now. No problems. There's only a couple of companies that actually make the plug wires.

I also use the autozone set.. I don't remember them being $25.. I think they were much more.. They have lifetime waranty.. I changed them once.. I pulled a wire out of the boot.. (I've used dialectric grease in them ever since).. They have 60k+ miles on them and no arcing and still hold tight to the plugs..

They work for us...

Put a set of Bosch wires on my V8. They came with the exact same connectors on the ends as the stock ones, so I could put all the little heat protectors on the new wires, and Bosch is a pretty good name.

They were 60 bucks.

Maybe the Autozones were more money 60,000 miles ago because they were different wires/manufacturer? Do these look fimilar:

Read some reviews about the Bosch wires - not so posotive. But, I read the Bosch website and they seem pretty techy/good to me. I mean, they make really good power tools and I can personally say that their Dishwashers kick butt!! Cant imagine they would screw up plug wires:)

I think the autolites from advance around only a few dollars more. I could be wrong tho.

I'd prolly trust the autolites as well. Just could not see almost 200 for a set of nology wires on a truck that will never rev past 5000 rpm !
