TKAT79 said:I get about 18mpg in my 2004 V6. I just starting using the Flex Fuel E85 gas, it's too early to judge the gas mileage on that. So far it's about the same, although I've heard from people that it usually gets lower mpg (1 - 2 less) than regular octane does. We'll see.
I recently went through a tank containing all E85 gas and experienced about a 20% decrease in fuel economy. Based on the gas mileage that my window sticker said the EPA experienced using E85, they got about a 25% decrease. So, E85 would have to be 20%-25% cheaper than regular unleaded to make it worth while financially, not factoring in the cleaner emissions, higher octane, and decreasing dependency on foriegn oil.
