I understand the feeling...I've been working on finding towing mirrors from some model of pickup, but the aviator mirrors are just taller than ours and not wider, so i dont see them helping too much in my opinion.
I see what you mean, looks very erm non truckish it blunt terms, but limited sight is my problem, next step is lift kit and solid urban/ light off roading rims

If you don't like the look of the Aviator mirrors, then look into 4th gen Eplorer/Mountaineer mirrors.
If I'm not mistaken, you simply pull the door panel off, there will be three screws plus wiring you'll need to unplug and then you swap the mirrors. I believe there is a writeup somewhere that someone did when they swapped out to different mirrors.
