AWD not working on Mountianeer

ive got an 03 mountianeer with the 4.6l. and i think my tranny is bad i'm getting a p0775 (solenoid block code) and its also not going into drive unless i rev it up and then it will go into drive. i also noticed some rotational splattering of black looking trans fluid around the transfer case... ive also got an ABS light on which says its a wheel sensor. and the AWD is not working i just have rear wheel. would the wheel sensor cause this or is it the transfer case?

Also getting typical solenoid block symptoms if that would have anything to do with it not working

Bump! Any luck fixing this? Or finding the cause? I'm having similar probs in my 2000 5.0. No AWD anymore. Even have the ABS light which I didn't think was related. If you have more info please update us!

It sounds like he knows what's wrong. Just time to go fix them.

Can really accomplish much until you start whittling down the list of problems.
I would start with the wheel sensor (much cheaper than the trans), as that may fix the awd issue.
On the other hand, you can't test the awd or abs until you get the trans working.

Now, im no trans expert, but I believe the solenoid block can be accessed and serviced with the trans in the vehicle. I know there are threads on it. Might be a good place to start.
