Well I thought this forum used to be all other fords but it says trucks but I don't care right now I am too excited.
Today I am under this car working when I hear what sounds like John Force pull in. So I whip out from under the car to see what the noise is all about, outside there is a 95 mustang Gt with real nice wheels FAT I mean FAT tires in the back and this really nice looking big spoiler. So I go out side to check it out, from inside I could see there was no hood on this beast nor a place for a stock one! just a massive intake sticking its head up proudly. As I near the beast I see this idiot transmission guy that we refuse to deal with get out, and kinda smile, so I KNEW it wasn't his but I started asking questions. Come to find out he don't know SHIZnit. He tells me it is a stock gt Saleen convertable (never heard stock and saleen in one sentance before) with a blower and nothing else. Well I look and can tell this is no 302 so upon some more examing and finally talking to the owner, I find out it is a 351Windsor bored and stroked out to a 402 with a 18 psi Vortech blower and an itercooler. It has the complete tubular sub frame in front ALL the sub frame connectors and supports that they make. A currie built 9" rear that is AMAZING with 3.73's. It has HRE 18x8 in front wrapped by 245 or 225 30zr18's and matching 18x10's in the rear with 345 30 zr 18s 3 4 5 they are like almost 2 ft wide they are crazy fat tires. the car is stock bodied (for know the guy said) with a beautiful emarld green paint and the wheels are painted to match wiht polished outer lips. It has a tremec 5 speed, a pro 5.0 shifter, its lowered with a complete steeda kit about 2 inches and has 3" MAC exhaust from the equal length headers to the rear axle. Well my job was to fin a way to raise the exhaust as much as possible and make some custom tailpipes to go under that big Currie 9" and the pick out some tips for the machine. Well I got the exhaust up about and inch and made the pipes I am just waiting for the tips now. this thing is so damn loud it is just AWESOME! After many many attempts I got the owner who we all kinda know at the shop to let me drive the car, of course he said he had to be with me but at lunch he would come down and we could go, well the other 2 guys at work heard of our plan and wanted to go so we all piled in the car and off we went, going thru town I know now why I lifted my X ours roads SUCK I bottomed that poor thing out so many times I cried! But after we made it out of town things changed, after a quick burnout, we were off, at about 70 I grabbed 2nd with a mean fit of tire squeal and proceeded at about 4000 the blower reaches damn near take off mode and the car just flies, (this engine was built to race which is waht the guy plans to do, and is supposedly gauranteed to 14,000 rpm, not real sure of this but I got it over 10,000 twice) at what the speedo said was 130 we hit third gear and rocketed off again, this time to a SCARY 165 then I hit fourth and shut it down, we held about 120-130 for the next mile or so whipping around corners like that things was on rails, then finally we pulled a hell of a u turn/slide combo and slowly made it back to town around 90 the whole way. I must say that is the fastest car I have ever been in and I am sure will ever be in. :eek: I took some pics today and am going to take a few more tommorow I will put up one or two, and everyone look for a new car next year in the pro mustang circuit next year with the Colorado plate OUTKAST! and also look just under the gt badges in small letters will be my name and our shops name!

Damn I think I may just go steal that car tonight so If no one hears from me for a while, I may see you soon in your local jail!

This sounds a lot like the GT that was featured in Hot Rod mag in 99. It was also on the Hot rod power tour. Except the one on the Tour had Dual Turbos. But the frame was all custom Tube. Same color too. Sounds like an awsome ride.
 






I was thinking the same thing as Perry, but man does it sound sweet. I can't wait to see it.

If that motor can turn 14,000 that is one hell of a car and the engine builder deserves massive credit for the work. That guy must have a fortune in that car. He has to atleast have over 20K in just the motor to uphold those RPM's. I would love to see the engine pics if you took any. I wish I was in your place that day.
