I really know nothing about my new explorer and it's driving me insane lol .. Im so glad I got you guys to help me out on here .. I'm doing a few things this weekend to fix up the explorer a little bit...

- Drivers Side Panel
- Rocker Panel [ both sides ]
- Hood
- Grile
- Roters
- Breaks
- Oil Change
- Oil Filter Change
- Flushin' The Radiator - CLEAN
- Running Threw Engine Cleaner
- Oil Aditive To Seal Things Better

And thats all for now & I know it needs so much more lol .. but I have a few more questions with all the nosies and stuff that it is making ..

As far as the 4x4 light goes .. I think that i have leveled that out to a wiring or shorting problem .. Along with the check engine light .. Because it came on once and then just went off like 10 minutes later then I rode on it for about an hour .. It stayed off, then i turned it off and on a few times between that and never came on .. Whatcha guys think ? Ohh and does anyone know how to read the check engine light, my bf says you can hook it up to something and it will tell you what is wrong with it .. Thought i have no clue ...

Another ?'s .. It makes a knocking nosie when I first turn it on .. I belive it is the valves . But Im not really to sure .. It stops when its warmed up and gets going for a little while ...

And one more .. the wining in the stearing .. Its not the fluid .. because it is full .. so im thinking maybe the stearing fluid pump ? What do you guys think ? Is that really hard to replace?

You need a code reader.

And one more .. the wining in the stearing .. Its not the fluid .. because it is full .. so im thinking maybe the stearing fluid pump ? What do you guys think ? Is that really hard to replace?

Easy fix. Yes if it is full and it still is making the wining noise most likely your pump has been starved before and is a little burt. Before you change the box check and make sure none of the lines are cripmed.

If not then the pump can be canged with in a hour or two.
