well i got the limited slip 3.73 that's alright. does any one know how well those limited slip rear ends hold up. the reason i ask is i had an s-15 jimmy with the government locker and it grenaded on me at about 120K miles. but that was a gmc not a ford.

When I had my '97 in at Desert Rat to order a PowerTrax No-Slip to replace my limited slip I mentioned that my limited slip had 104K on it and was probably well worn out by now. The guy said that the limited slip in the Ford 8.8 hold up very well and in all likelyhood mine wasn't worn out. I can still get mine to lock up by tapping the brake lightly when a rear tire starts spinning but I don't know how much locked up it is.

what about the front ifs are they open diffs or they the same as what your rear axle would be?

thanx that's what i was guessing. espeacially with the auto 4 wheel drive.
