Working on changing my front Lower control arms. First one was passenger side. I removed the nut on the ball joint. I had to put a prybar in the LCA to get it out of the knuckle. I was able to do that and then I noticed what looked like oil on the ground. I then took a closer look and it seems the strut must have pushed the axle out of what I assume is the CV joint. The rubber boot looks fine from what I can tell so far. It's just the 4 wheels that go into the housing came out. I can't muscle it back in because it seems I'm fighting the spring and strut. Do I need to dissemble the strut and push it back in? Even if I get it in how do I replace the fluid that was in there? Or is this thing toast? Not sure what to do next. I want to throw up.
