axle tubes

would anyone know the trick to cleaning the inside of the axle tubes? i have everything stripped so i have access to the tubes. the oil has been sitting in it for a while. theres also a very fine layer of surface rust. any ideas?

how about a modified chimney sweep brush? you can get them at farm supply stores sometimes i think. Basically a big ass pipe cleaner .

Run a few rags soaked with brake cleaner through it a bunch of times.
