axle width question

not sure about being wider than a rangers but all explorer rear ends are the same width but just different gears

The older Ranger 8.8 axle (apring over) is 2" shorter width wise then the Explorer 31 spline 8.8.
The newer Rangers I believe have the same width rear as the Explorer's, and 31 spline axles
