well, not really. but with my luck, doesnt it figure that if anything was to get screwed up in the repair process to my truck, it would be the exhaust, heh.

i think im gonna avoid the whole "custom cat back" idea - with me, its just asking for trouble (not to mention, i think the flowmaster 70 series is like $150 for just the muffler, which is what i would end up getting.)

right now, i just plan on calming down, getting some sleep tonight, and calling the guy tomorrow. i wanna see what he says before i really go apeshit ;)

See, I told ya you wouldnt be able to tell ;)

As for the exhaust, just take it back and show them whats not acceptable, they'll take care of it. The overpray shouldn't be a problem either, you're right a claybar will take that right off.

ok, i talked to the exhaust guy today :) hes very cool. we talked about the muffler and the y-pipe, and im leaving that - apparently, its not uncommon, and actually, the y-pipe was leftover from my smashed exhaust system (i never looked at the old system), and he just threw on a new muffler, and one of his lackies in the shop put on the wrong size pipes without asking. hes giving me 2.25" pipes for free the next time im in the area. hes charging me for the labor though, which i normally would argue over, but its only gonna be like $25-$30, and hes been very nice, so ill just pay it and make a friend ;)

i also talked to my friend who owns the body shop i went to, and he says i can wax my truck whenever i want (though, i think ill still wait 30 days for the hell of it), and then ill get that overspray off.

bottom line: im very happy with all the outcomes :D

From what I've heard modern bodywork can be waxed immediately, but I still wait 30 days too lol. Its like trying to unlearn 3000 miles oil changes.

yeah, thats one rule im taking to the grave with me ;)

My Lexus schedule says 7500 miles...I just can't do that LOL.

Imagine my predicament, I've been changing oil for a lot longer than you have lol. Its like asking me to believe that cigarettes are bad for my health.

Geesh, the'se people try and sell ya on everything ;)

Glad the truck is all better pal.
