B&M ShiftPlus

I just installed the resistors and I took it for a drive. I had it set on the firmest setting and barely noticed a difference at first at WOT. But after a while it became more noticeable. Is this because the PCM needs to relearn what to do, or is it because the transmission needs to warm up before it becomes noticeable?

did you disconnect the battery terminals?

I did not, but I dont see why I would need to. Its not that the shift plus module changes the PCM, It is a controlled short circuit that bypasses the PCM.

holy thread revival for one...for two..in all this time (years) no one has posted working pics of how to do it, or posted long term results of trans, or said which one was better? I hate my trucks stock shifting, and when I had my custom Alero, I had a 3 pos. b&m shift plus, and it worked awesome from new to 68k miles before I traded it in.

bottom line...Im in search mode right now, but I have to believe there has been more stickys and progress made for these wimpy trannys?

i agree that there should be a image or video of how to hook up a homemade one, i attempted it but after riding around for 15 mins my truck started to smell like burning tranny fluid, so i disconnected it.
