Around a year ago, I posted if anyone has put a B&M slapstick shifter in their X. The replies were less than spectacular!j/k. Anyways, shortly there after, I went ahead and solved the pesky little installation problem, that has eluded so many a person. I had it in my X for around 8 months, and it worked great! Well right up till I crashed the X. And it just dawn on me, I didn't tell you all how. What a Jerk! So I'm gonna make it up to you all, I will be installing this shifter in my new X in the next couple weeks, and I will photo-document the proceedure. I have to get the lift, axles, and stuff swapped in first. (the real important stuff!) So for those interested, give me your email addresses, and when I do this again, I'll send you pics, to show you what I did.

O yeah one more thing, Am I the only one see their X everytime I close my eyes? just wondering.

Yeah definately do. I would love to see that. So having a B&M, is that like having a 5 speed? Just curious, I have only used one once in a chevy pickup. I liked it very much. Thanks again.

I dream about my X, does that count?

I wouldn't say just like a 5spd, In fact, alot more simple. It's just that you have alot more control of your automatic, and alot easier to manually shift than using the column shifter. To be more specific, it's still an auto, but when you put it in 1st, and then "slap it" into 2nd, you don't miss! like is very easy to do with a column. And plus, It just looks Bad A$$!!!

huskyfan23@yahoo.com I'm thinking about a shifter, that's right, they do look bad ars! Do you notice any better take-off since you have the power to shift now? What problems did you have with the installation? Thanks!

In had this on my 71 bronco with a C4 and it is actually pretty nice. I f you email me the pics I will post them in this thread for you. Clint81652@cs.com

hey fellas, the suspense must continue a little longer, due the unexpected unraveling of my engine. I've got the motor out, and have to put some gaskets in the new one, and then I'll reinstall the shifter, Be patient!
