Yes, mods in the future plans include either a 3" body lift or the 4" suspension lift, not sure, probably the 3" body lift. I will probably twist the torsion bars an inch to level the thing out as much as possible. I also plan on getting 17" bullet style wheels with a more aggresive tire. I did some research on that awhile ago and posted a few questions about that previously but I will have to go back and reread all of it since I forgot what I learned. I would like to get a cap, not sure which brand it seems ARE and Leer are the two big names but when I google them the images I get aren't that clear.
I plan on doing some engine mods too but I'm not sure about that, I would like more power but doing things like a cold air intake, exhaust, etc. doesn't seem like it gets a whole lot of noticeable power. I did all that on my SVT contour and I couldnt feel the difference. I may get one of those handheld tuners or chips or whatever, I was on this guy's website and it appears he is recommended for that kind of thing.
But since I got laid off last month and I am broke, I don't forsee any of this happening any time soon, in fact, I have been letting my wife use the truck most of the time because its our "good" vehicle. Our Jeep is crappy and feels like a toy compared to the Sport trac. Of course misses likes the jeep better.
I have the same size tire with a TT/shackle lift. 1.75" in the front. I get rubbing only when turning the steering wheel all the way when turning left. It rubs on the back of the tire againist the plastic in the back of the tire well.
