Hello does anyone know where I can get a reasonably priced back door for my explorer in Ontario? I need the one with the rubber on the bottom that also has the tinted window with the wiper on the back. I have checked most auto wreckers here and they want 500 Can for the door. Since I am not working there is no way I can afford that. I need to move and as it is right now I can no longer open my back door due to the handle on the back is broken and rusted out. If anyone knows where I can get a fairly decient door for a cheaper price please let me know. Thanks:)

Well, if local boneyards can't help you for less than $500, then good luck finding one cheaper via longer distance methods. Shipping on something like that would be HUGE.

I've used car-part.com in the past to source parts from yards elsewhere in Canada (much lighter parts!). You might just luck out and find something cheaper in your neck of the woods.

coldfox- you might have luck with www.Car-part.com as Celly said- search around Detroit, MI and maybe make a drive to get it?

try going to A1 auto wreckers in brantford i was there a few weeks ago and they had a few exlplorers there im not sure on rear hatches... you can call but its best if you go and look yourself and the condition it might be in

theres also Bellcity autowreckers right beside them but there not a walk in yard you could call them and see if they have one and get a price..

Thank you all for replying I was able to get one in really good shape, with no rust on the bottom.

That's a good find!

I paid 400 Canadian.
