Hello people,
I was on this site for a few years, about 3 years ago. I had a 1994 XLT, got it stock ended up having 6" lift, lockers etc. and a 1988 BII
Today I got a 1995 XLT, same but different as I found out today. I know a TTB inside and out but new to IFS. I was happy to see the 8.8 had rear disk breaks :) But the axle had no tag... I did lots of work on trucks out west. I was in Vancouver BC, but I moved back to the east cost of Canada where I am from, Nova Scoita, place called Windsor, if you know the area I am actually at the bottom of Ski Martock. I am very excited to get back into the Explorer side of things, in the past few years I was running a few different Heeps, YJ and XJ.
I am in the planing stages of this XLT. Having a little bit of a hard time finding a actual lift kit for this year, but have found a few. The plans are, lockers, 4:10 gears, 33" TSL and between 4 - 5" of lift. And all the fun youquessems like winch, ligts etc.
Here is a pic of my old rig stock than when I was done with it and my new rig, as of today. Also what I had between...

I actually traded a canoe and some gear for the 95 XLT. He had no idea why it would not start. I got it towed home for less than $100 and found that the starter relay was shot and the battery needed a boost. So I had it started in less than 2min. Just to let you know I paid $150 for the canoe, $150 for the trolling motor that went with it, so I am at $300 and it runs smooth. I will need to do the rocker panels and also the breaks, and break lines. Here in Nova Scotia we LOVE the salt on the roads in the winter and it shows on our vehicles.

I am very excited to be back on this site, I was a paying member just because it was so much help. I did every mod and every problem with help from this site and I look forward to this next project!
And also the whole truck is going to be flat black....
