Back up alarm not working

Anybody have any experience with the back up alarm on the 02 Explorer? Mine hasn't worked in several months (except for a couple of weeks it started working then stopped again) The indicator light on the on/off switch stays on all the time, no sound from the alarm when backing.

You may want to check the fuse for it or try to test that the switch is indeed working. Offhand i dont know which fuse it runs off of, but it should say in your owners manual.

usually a sensor goes too, dealer can tell you which one or what's failed.
I first check the connections for corrosion or lose connections.
Or another option would be to buy one and try them in all the spots. Although someone did find two that failed. You can buy them on Fleabay for cheap if you can determine which one. (looks like the cheap deal is gone , they run about $50).
