Back up cameras

Installing a backup camera in an 07 sport track limited Concerned about the rear view mirror. The kit comes with a mirror with the monitor built in. The oem mirror I think has the auto dimmer in it. Can I remove this mirror with no problems when installing a mirror that does not have this function?

Yes, you easily can remove your OEM rearview and replace it with this new one. You'll notice a small black box looking thing attached to the mirror mount. Thats your compass. You can unplug it if you'd like - just above your odometer there will be a dash " - " where you'd normally see N, SE, W, etc.

I mounted my compass just above my rearview as there was no way to attach it to my new mirrors mount. Got my windows tinted pretty dark and that pretty much negated the need for a self-dimmer.

Where can I bring the wiring into cab from camera I installed camera on 07 f150 would it be the same?
