back window

I have a 2001 sport trac and i have a problem with the back window that doesnt want to lower all the way down. I turn the button to lower and nothing happens only when i push it but it only lower a little

That's an unusual problem for these windows. The window is "told" what to do by different ground circuits. You may have a bad switch or more likely a bad connection in one of the wiring connectors.

My first recommendation though would be to read carefully, a couple of times, the initialization procedure and then do it to see if by chance it will cure the problem. Check out the instructions and other window info in the FAQ's at the beginning of this forum.

Being your Trac is an '01 you will need to determine if it's a Job 1 or a Job 2 for most any/all questions you'll have. Post the date of manufacture that's on the door tag and we'll get that behind you right off the bat.
