Hi

i've gotta 97 v8, after it has been run for a while and brought up to operating temp and then shut off it lets off two very light backfire/diesel ignitions. i "recently" rebuilt the engine and do not have my roller rockers adjusted properly (they are too "tight") but it did the same thing befor i rebuilt the engine and put the rockers on it, leading me to think that it is not their missadjustment causing the symtoms.

I know that the EVAP is not working correct, as the distribution manifold under the manifold is basicaly destroyed, but other then that as far as I and the OBDII can tell they're are no other problems.

Thanks!

nO ideas? thanks!!

i've rememberd that the rear few runners have been "wet" ish everytime i've taken the plenum off and that after it sits for a while it takes an extra second or so to get started, i'm thinking i have leaking injectors.
