Over the past few months I noticed my battery gauge slowly getting to that no good spot. Yesterday it finally died.

I charged it up last night, had full charge, and I go to put it in the truck and the guage says its about to die pretty much lol. I would think since the battery was fully charged, the guage indicator would be in the middle like normal. Anywho, here are some numbers:

The battery is pushing 12.58V and 826 CCA
Starter is pushing 10.85V and 273.3A
Alternator 12.21V and 0A (with or without load)

Recently I just replaced the power steering pump, along with the serpentine belt and a buddy of mine mentioned that one of the puleys could be going bad as well?

What should I do about this, its going to be thunder and lightning ladies and gents for the whole weekend, so I'm goanna pull my big girl panties up and try and fix her. Thanks guys :salute:

If you'll take to an auto parts store, WalMart etc, they'll test if for free. Sounds shot, though.

That's where I got the volt / amp readings :p I've dumped almost $1k into this thing in the last 2 weeks lmao, I'm just about broke. $140+ $40 core for the alternator. I'm putting it in tomorrow and will let y'all know how things go. Oh and I need 4 new tires while 2 are showing the steel wire lol. FML

For the tires check out the Craig's List in your area, nothing wrong with running used tires and you can usually get a full set with or woithout rims really cheap.

Yeah used around here go for $45 255/70/16 ... I haven't been on here in a long time I missed all the support haha you guys are great.

12.21v is not enough to charge the battery, the battery sitting will be 12.6v, to charge fully/properly it needs 13.6v, maybe 13.8v. I would think it's the alternator also, especially if the battery can still supply 826CCAs.

I have similar issues, how did you test for current?

Its been some time, but I think it turned out to be bad terminals actually...
