Bad FM reception

Okay, I finally got a chance to drive around and test out the FM.
It does come in better, it seems hooking up the ground worked.
There is still the occasional static, but I think thats normal(?). Good enough for me.

sweet deal. nice to hear my advice actually worked once in a while. 
if that didn't work i was going to recommend chopping the antenna wire a few inches past the connector and using it as a pull to replace it with RG6 CATV coax. much less loss and excellent noice rejection.
