Went out to my truck last night, turned the key, nothing happened. All my lights, instruments, and radio come on. Turned the key to start it several times and nothing happens, not even clicks. When I went back out about an hour later the truck cranked right up like nothing was wrong. Can anyone help me out I'm pretty sure its a starter issue. Thanks.

My '94 did this once....

In a car wash.

On a Sunday.

Lights, gauges worked... no starty.

I walked to Auto Zone, bought a starter, laid on my back on a cold wet floor and changed the starter.

Got in it and turned the key and nothing happened.

Pulled positive cable off of battery again and the inside of the terminal was extremely nasty. It was clean on the outside.

Cleaned inside terminals and started perfectly.

Took perfectly good starter to Auto Zone for core charge refund...

Didn't want to change the starter AGAIN. Figured the new starter would last me a long time..

Sold truck two years later.

Check ALL of your wire terminals. At the battery and at the starter.

Relays can go bad too and they are a lot cheaper and easier to replace than starters..

Maybe the starter solenoid.
