when i floor the gas from a stop, it accelerates, then bogs down really hard for a couple seconds, then picks back up again and drives normally. id had some throttle response issues before, theyre gone, and it started doing this.

is there a way to check the tps? thanks.

I had that problem, but it turned out to be spark plug wires.

You can certainly check the TPS by unplugging it and measuring the electrical resistance (with an ohmmeter) as it changes with throttle position. Or, you can power up, tap into the wires and measure the voltage. I don't know the correct voltage range, but I'm sure someone here knows.

ow that i think about it, i think it started when i cleaned my maf sensor, and i cleaned it once before and it had the same problem temporarily but it happened if i floored it at any speed, now it only does it just after taking off.

hmm... mabye i should double check it.

hmm... installed a new maf housing and it seems to have made the problem disappear.

gotta run to the bank, so ill see if anything happens.

ok something is really wrong. if i give it more than half throttle, it bogs, bucks, etc...

and it stalls out when i start it, but if i start it and give it a bit of gas to keep the revs up for like 10-15 seconds, its fine.

ill try resetting the ecu again, isnt it just supposed to take a few minutes?

yup, reset the ecu, time to hit up pep boys for their cone filter to maf adapter installer thing.

should i go with a K&N filter or an oil free one? dont wanna screw up the maf sensor
