Okay so I have already replaced the serpentine belt, tension pulley and tension arm, PS pulley and the noise continues.

Here is the back story. One day I heard a slight noise coming from under the hood, it sounded like the serpentine belt was slipping and it had been raining so I just thought it was wet...no biggie. I drove through a big puddle and lost all steering...no biggie became a big problem when trying to make a turn! The whiny sound was getting louder, especially when ever I turned my wheel. I thought it had to be the PS pulley but it did not wobble, just a slight front and back play which from what I have read it some what normal. I took the belt off and checked all the pulleys. None of the pulleys made a sound expect the tension pulley was some what loud. Like I said, I replaced the tension pulley, PS pulley and the belt. I even tried a slightly .5 inch shorter belt and the noise was worse. This time I took off the PS pulley and played with the mount. I believe I can hear it slip a little and the sound does kinda make a bad bearing noise.

What do you all think? The PS pump needs to be replaced? Should I just try to spray wd-40 down the PS pulley shaft? Thanks for the future help. What in intresting is that the noise does not get louder while turning but rather how fast I'm going. There is a certain speed when it doesn't get any louder however.

When in doubt replace it as you don't want it freezing up and breaking the pulley off when on the road the PS pumps are not that much.

Actually the culprit was the PS pump, wish I stayed with my gut feeling and not switch out all the other stuff. The Harmonic Balancer did need to be replaced. The funny thing is that it was acting like a under drive pulley system and was giving me more HP so now my truck is driving slow...or at lest it feels that way. I wonder if my MPG will change since the Harmonic has been replaced.
