Hey guys, what size is the zurk grease size or part number from the lower ball joint for a 96 awd?
I need to get it put on on my lower ball joint.
Either go grab a new one or to the junk yard.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

I don't recommend drilling and tapping a zerk fitting in the oem ball joints.. Its better just to get a aftermarket like Moog that already has zerk fittings.

I didn't know zerks came in different sizes...

I've only encountered one size if they do. Go to the auto parts store and get some, that would be something in the aisles. Never get one from the junkyard, they will be rusted and/or clogged with dirt and likely won't work much better than yours. And it isn't gonna cost you more than a couple dollars for a pack of new ones.

You can easily put slivers of metal in the joint while drilling.. Just better to get aftermarket joints.. The factory ones are pos.

Please don't post your question in multiple sections of this forum.. Posting it one time is good enough.

My ball joint came with the fitting in the bag and is tapped for a fitting, didnt realize to install it when my and the brother in law installed the ball joint, I moved so the box and old ball joint are in storage somewhere.
Instead of digging whether just pick one up.

Most are 1/4-28 thread

Umm if he didn't put the zerk fitting in, the ball joint might have been dry.. Usually they come dry if they have zerk fittings.
