Ball Joints Bolt or Pin?

Ok this is strange I called to get an estimate on my ball joints, driver side, upper adn lower. I told them I have a 93 Explorer $X$ I mean 4X4. They had to give me 2 prices one if the ball joints were bolt and one if they were pin. Now I dont know what they are talking about. Can any of you guys help me out? Also tell me what a reasonable price sould be.

if the front axel is a dana 35 ( i think thats the number) then its the pinch if its a dana 28 ( once agian not positive about the number) then its the other ones but most likely its the pinch style i did all four for about 125 buck but i did it myself and bought the parts at carquest

If you have an Explorer, you have a D35. D28 was only used in the '80's. Some '90's Rangers have a D28/D35 hybrid (BOM's will refer to it as a D28), but this was never used on Explorers.
