Hey guys, thanks in advance for all the help and guidance!

Not a huge issue but when I accelerate at all the battery light comes on and (if its on) the ac fan speed lowers until I let off the gas.

Last January I replaced the alternator and last October I replaced the battery. Could this be a belt issue? The current serpentine belt has maybe 20k on it but I never hear it squeal while I accelerate.

It's also been pretty hot in the dc area the past couple weeks not sure if that could be a contributing factor.

Thoughts?

I would check the serpentine belt first for tension. It could be either the belt, or the tensioner has failed. Also check the pulleys making sure they are not loose or have lots of junk in the grooves.

If that is ok, I would go to auto zone or a similar store that does battery/alt checks to see if there is an issue with the charging system.

Stopped by autozone today...Battery test was fine. Guy that did the testing said that I should put the battery on a charger so it can be charged to above what the alternator charges. He said I most likely left a light on or something drained the battery low.

He's an idiot.

But at least I got the battery tested and that was fine :-)
