I'd like to get a run going for spring 2013 at Beasley Knob in north Georgia. The trails are closed January through March to protect the forest in the most sensitive time of the year. I believe they open back up March 18 (or so). I'd be interested in something in April or later, just to be safe.

Can I be one of those serious members?

Right now I'll say I'm in.

I used to wheel Beasley Knob a lot - that's the place I got the first dent in my truck!

I'd like to make this - meet some local board members, do some spring time camping.

What would you say the difficulty level is? How set up should you be to run it safely? I guess what I'm really asking is, can an open/open, long wheel base, heavy truck with minimal armor and no winch Sport Trac, maybe even green in color, run this trail and expect to drive 3 hours home?

I may be interested, been looking to meet some other owners in the southeast.

Well I've gotten a co-op next semester so that means nights and weekends with no homework. I'll almost definitely be able to make this trip now!!

I see you've added quite a bit recently. I'm definitely jealous.

..Would you like to add a date to the title of this group run?...:D

I'm busy through the whole month of April. My one free weekend is to pick up my truck in VA.

Sorry, don't see a spring run in my near future. If I make it anywhere in the next couple months it will be a last minute decision and calling off work. I didn't forget about this thread, just figured the interest wasn't there to nail something down too early. If anyone else wants to continue this and try to get a date set, I promise to do my best to attend.

Just picked up a second job and started prep for building a house...

...I will "unsticky" this thread for now but if you guys want it back up or want a new one pinned up, let us know..:biggthump

Ooh, sorry, forgot it was stickied. I feel sheepish.
