I'm goin over to discount tire in salinas (www.tires.com) and I was wondering if this is one of those places that wont put anything over 29" on explorers.

Has anyone had any experience with them? I have the wheels seperate (they will be going on new wheels) so i could always take the wheels over in my step-dad's '80 RamCharger and tell them its for that and just put them on the X when I got home.

Tell them it's going on your non-street legal J**p. That's what I've done. It's a great excuse as to why you didn't drive there.

ok... now, after they balance them, I dont have to worry about anything making them become un-balanced when they are just being put in the truck/transported or w/e do I? I have never really had to deal with with that kind of thing before

no, tire balance stays with the wheels... they are actually balanced off the vehicle anywyas..... unless you plan on removing the wheel weights they put on, there is no issue with transporting them

i got my 31s put on at discount. the only thing that they said was that they may rub. i told them that i would fix that with a sawz all. :D actaully one of the guys working there had 31s on his gen 2 ex.

Had no problem getting 31s on my X.
