Would anyone be interested in trading their GF springs for some Belltech's? I have an opportunity to buy a brand new set of Belltech springs for a great price but don't want to lower my truck that much.

I drive my truck daily and don't want the harsh ride.

They are in a factory sealed box that was never opened. I am willing to trade for a used set of GF springs. I would prefer someone that doesn't have really old or corroded springs from up north. I will ship you the Belltech and when you are done swapping them out ship the GF's to me.

Not really sure if this will be worth my while but I wanted to ask.

Let me know if anyone is interested.

If nobody is interested is it worth the ride to get the Belltech's for $100? Are they that bad of a ride? I used to have a Tahoe lowered 4/4 with Belltech and it wasn't unbearable.

My shocks are shot and I need to get new ones soon(rides like chit). When I do, I am going to cut a half coil off the front and a full coil off the rear. I don't want to lower it much and I'm hoping the ride will be close to the same. I'll report back on my findings:D

If you race your truck I wouldn't cut your springs. It pretty dangerous. I didn't it back in the day on my first vehicles. Made the handling horrible!

I think it depends on whether the coils are progressive rate or straight. If they are progressive, they more likely will stiffen up. If they are straight, they should ride like stock except the Ex will sit lower.

If you look at Mustang guys, they recommend cutting the springs because the ride stays the same(straight rate) and it's free!!!

I don't race except in a straight line. The day I decide to take corners, I'll make sure the suspension(and brakes) is up to the task:D

Good point. Let me know how it goes. I have 126,000 on mine and I know I need shocks too. Don't know if I should jump on these Belltech's or not. I thought worst cast, I could sell them for $150.00.

Making an offer on some Silver 20s of a 2000 Mustang today for $250. Won't pass these up like the Boss wheels I missed out on!!!

Good luck! What kind of wheels are they?

If you search about 15+/- pages back on the 3rd gen pics thread, there's a white Explorer with Belltechs. You could PM the guy and ask his opinion on how it rides, etc.

Thanks I will try to PM him!!

i don't know what wheels they are but here is the link. He is going to send me some close up pics of the wheels to make sure their not to bad. I don't mind taking the time to refinish them.

I was wrong on how far back to find the lowering pics:D Page 15 shows the guy I was talking about(joemiranda) and the other two I found that might have belltechs are jluv and 1bad04.

Thanks! I sent them PMs. I'll see what they say.

Are you still looking to trade the belltech for ground force? I have the ground force and have been wanting the belltech. The only thing is I live in Michigan

I never went to pick them up. It was 3 hours away. I had a reason to go over there besides but it got cancelled. I can give you their number if your interested to buy them.

yeah that would be great if you could.

Well I finally got the Belltech springs. Now debating on selling them or installing them. just nervous about the ride plus I still have stock wheels and it will look funny for a little while.

Opinions?

Do you still have the GF springs???

As I mentioned before, my springs are shot so I'm waiting until I change those(hopefully over the winter since work is slowing down.) If yours are shot as well, I'd look into getting new shocks, add the belltechs to them and then you can change each strut right out.

How long before you think you'll find some wheels

I never had the GF springs. I wanted to get them but a guy was cleaning out his warehouse and I picked up the Belltech's for $80 (brand new in the box). I don't feel like my struts are gone but I do have 140,000 miles on my truck. I wasn't going to keep the truck but I think I might because we are trying to get a house next year. Cheaper to keep it then get the F150 I want!!

The wheels might take me until April/May. I am looking for used ones and always looking on craigslist. The thing is I do not want chrome. Still kicking myself for not getting those Boss wheels last year!

If your still interested in swaping your belltechs for GF, I have a set that was only used for 1 week, completely new. I'm from PR, let me know if you decide you want to swap.

Hey bori2150 - I sent you a PM. I'm interested.
