hey, i crashed my 99 xlt and i bent the radiator support in. i pulled it out with a come along a little bit but it didnt do much, so i was wondering what a fair price to throw it on a frame bending machine or whatever and fix it would be. i went to one shop and they said 200, but i could tell he just pulled the number off the top of his head so idk if thats really a good price

Give it time, its only been 4 hours since your original post.

wow, it felt like alot longer than that. im just anxious to get my truck back to what it used to be. it makes me so sad seeing it in my driveway like that lol

Try calling more than one place, figure out what the average price is. But just an FYI, even if a frame place pulls it, it will still need work and things wont be aligned because the core support is stamped steel - once its bent, working it back to its original shape takes a LOT of work. In other words, pulling it back will only get it close but not exact.

As long as the frame isn't bent, it's not hard to bend back. When I crashed mine we hooked the radiator support up to my dad's pickup and pulled :D

But seriously he just sort of idled, it just sheet metal and isn't extremely strong. It's not perfect now, but it works. It's still crinkled a little, and some adjustments were made to get the hood to close and such, but it works. If you want it perfect just replace it. They are not expensive to buy, although from what I understand somewhat of a PITA to replace.

i just went to another place and he said 350-400! looks like 200 is a good deal. too bad i dont have 200

Yeah actually $200 isnt bad for time on that machine. But as stated, it wont be perfect so if you're looking to get it back to stock, you'd probably be better off cutting the old one out and replacing it.

good news! yesterday i tried to put the fender on just for the hell of it and it fit! so i dont need to pull the radiator support out

Good to hear. Any time you need specialty work done such as frame work, unfortunately that's what every place is gonna call this, it's gonna cost you some serious $$. I've had to do frame work before, but my dad had a wide selection of hammers, spoons and the whole nine yards.

not unless i stop ignoring his phone calls and or hes willing to bring it to my house...1/2 mile away and BTW dan, chugs chevys out of the garage...
