Best 6 x 8 speaker to use with 20 w rms

They produce a great sound without requiring alot of power. Try looking for reviews on the DX9 (6x9 model). They have nothing but great things to say about those speakers.

i totally agree. the polk dx7's sound great when only powered by the headunit. most aftermarket speakers need more power to sound decent and produce clear accurate midbass and midrange. but the dx7's can do it well with little power. they are very efficient, and great sound quality.

How are the DX7s with an amp?

any speakers will sound better when driven by an amp. an added benefit to using sn amp is that you can set the crossover to block out the really low sub bass. this will allow the speaker to play cleaner, louder (i know, you dont like loud), and more accurate. with all the power delivered to the correct frequencies.

but as i said earlier, they dx7's are so efficient that they will even sound great off the headunit. if you have an amp, then you should use the amp.
