Need to replace my alternator and am wondering if anyone has had experience with DB Electric? Also if there are any other brands you suggest I would appreciate it. Thanks

I've not used them, but have read posts on other forums where they aren't what they used to be. Seems they went the "Made in China" route and, as you'd expect, quality suffered. Then again, what isn't made in China, anymore? Probably no difference in reliability vs. say, Autozone's or O'Reilly Auto's lower end alternators. Hopefully, someone else with direct experience will chime in.

I've been fortunate to have a Pick-n-Pull 15 mins from the house and have actually found like-new Duralast alternators (seems to be the alternator of choice around here) people have installed within a very short time of scrapping their truck/car.

I always buy reman alternators, starters and brake calipers (usually from AutoZone) and have never had a problem with any of them. Just be sure to get the ones with the life-time warranty and not their "Valuecrap" line. I can't see buying new at twice the price (or Motorcraft at maybe 3-times the price). These days you're not likely fine stuff made or reman'd in the U.S.

Make sure your battery is fully charged and checked before installing a new alternator. Many alternators come back for that reason.

Hey guys sorry it took so long. I ended up going with DB Electrical. The alternator I ordered is a 160 amp and comes with a year warranty. Hopefully it works out. Thanks for the help
