As you can tell in my little video's the back of my truck gets plently of lift when the air ride is on but the front dosn't lift very much, or not at all...

What are some things I can troubleshoot? Also does anyone know what PSI each shock is supposed to get from that little compressor when its in "offroad" I really like how the air ride system works for my work situation and would like to keep it on.

Thanks guys.

I do believe in '98 ARC was only on the rear. I could be wrong though?

You could get it either way i believe. Mine is all four corners.

My back has always lifted up more than my front. Once its done it has a good little rake to it. I think i measured once and the front came up about 1.25" while the back came close to 2.5". I believe the difference is with the V8 and the added weight. The shocks prbably have a maximum psi which won't lift as much as a lighter V6 Explorer. The weight also seems to be the reason for lack of ability to get much height from a torsion twist on a V8. I have the "A" (#2 rated is the same thing, next stiffer than a "B") torsion bars and cranking mine full up only gave me about 1.25" with the bolts bottomed out.

As a side note, I'm going to replace all my air shocks in the near future with standard, non-airbagged shocks being as i have the TT/Shackels now. They have near 110k miles on them and i'm sure the truck will ride better with fresh shocks. I would put new air shocks back on it but they run over $200 a piece from Ford Parts Network!! I can find a lot better things to do with the $600+ i'll save by going with stnadard shocks.

Not trying to take the thread away here but anyone know how to stop the message console from saying "air ride switch turned off" all the time??

My front used to lift as much as the back. :(
