Hello all... I'm very pleased with my explorer, it's only had 1 previous owner and he was a Ford service manager. It's going fine but can anyone tell me the best workshop manual for it please in the u.k.? Would it be the Haynes manual?.

Thanks in advance... Angus

Hello all, can anyone advise me what the best workshop manual for me to buy in the u.k.?
I'm a newbie to explorers and mine is going well but I'd like to read up on it.
I'm in Scotland by the way.
Thanks in advance...

Angus

I always find Haynes is a good start to give you an idea of things but you will probably find the wiring section next to useless. Other than that you've found the best source of info right here. I have found no end of useful stuff on this forum (US and UK parts) and there are some great guys and gals too.
Welcome

G'day Angus, welcome to the forum:)

a while back I bought an electronic version of the official Ford workshop manual from a seller on the US ebay site. Once purchased ($6.00) I was sent a download link - all worked well - and I downloaded 300Mb of manual.

here's a similar link for a DVD but if you do a search you will see lots of different manuals for different years

Hi Angus. Welcome to a very useful source of information here. I have had my Ex for almost a year and am still very much a novice but learning all the time. I use the Haynes manual which, as Jan has already said, is a good starting point. Once you start getting into needing more detail then this forum and the members on here are excellent with years of experience on keeping these things going. You'll enjoy your Ex even if, as I've found recently, it will also confuse and frustrate you. Now to sort out my heater....! GRoB.

Hi Angus, I've got a CD with ford workshop manual, if you'd like I can share a copy :) let me know
