Better brakes?

I ran the power stops for a long time. The brake performance was miles better than the factory rotors i replaced, but their pads didnt have "screech" indicators, so it went from your pads are getting worn, to your pads are grinding holes in your rotors in less than 2 minutes. I am going to be getting Baer counter rotational drilled and slotted rotors and pads here.. looks to be about 700 bucks all the way around. I have high expectations. I totaly stand behind drilled rotors as NOT a hoax, that release of gases between the pad and rotor, as well as the additional cooling go a LOONG way into performance and durability of the rotors.

My driving style is about saving gas, and the way to do that is to maintain momentum. Every time that you touch the brakes you have just lost momentum by turning it into heat (and brake wear).
Take your foot off the gas as soon as you see the traffic light turn red, then coast to it.
Same method for turns, don't use the brake while turning.
Keep plenty of distance to the car in front of you (three seconds) and anticipate his slowing down. On a highway I can typically see a slow down occurring four or five seconds before the car in front of me reacts, and by that time I've already got my foot off the gas and coasting.
Use O/D off when descending long steep hills.
Let the vehicle run up speed on straight downhills just before the flat at the bottom, then coast down to normal speed.
I rarely use overdrive, but all the other points describe my driving to a T. I, too, hate buying gas and frequent avoidable repairs.
