Hey,
Whats the biggest sub that can fit in the rear pass. side quarter panel pocket area?
I know 10" can fit but what about a 12" To deep?
thanks

o ya what would be a good subwoofer to fit there for SQ?

o ya one for question...will a class C amp overheat in the rear jack compartment?

I think 10" is the biggest that can go in. I have the MTX Thunderform, and its a little tight.

That looks nice, Todd. How much do they cost new and used? Where do you get vibrations when you turn the bass all the way up? Do they come with amp?

Thanks.

That one was $450 from crutchfield. Its the powered one. You can also get it unpowered. If I were to do it again, I'd get the unpowered, or just the the Q-Logic box and supply my own sub and amp. And yes, it does a nice job of beating you with bass inside, not overly loud outside.

i see a pretty solid 12" sub fitting in there if you invert it and do a little cutting. but it would be alot of custom work to do it.

thanks

ya that 10 look pretty tight fitting.

i will probably make my own encloser out of MDF to save a little dough.

so will a Class C amp overheat in the jack compartment? ive seen class D in there but i dunno about class C

Will a 10" MTX thunder 8000 fit in the Q-logic without modification? Are there other options besides the MTX6000 that is included/recommended? I'd like to put a higher wattage 10" back there and figure out a place for an amp. I'd like to get a headunit and the q-logic box with soemthing a little better than the 6000 mtx.

Thanks!

I think you could fit a 12 with a little cutting, as far as depth goes, my Audiobahn AWP310X is about as deep as a 10" comes, and it fit in the old truck with a little modification:

unless i am mistaken, the mtx 8000 10" is actually about the same depth as the 6000. mtx doesnt offer the box with the 8000 but you could just put one in there. i am looking at 10s too for mine because the RF just doesnt hit hard enough...not to mention it doesnt have the range i am accustomed to.

hey, vairking.....how did that audiobahn sound and what did you have powering it?

oh, and regarding the amp.....i put mine further up. iput some wood planks, trimmed to fit in front of the rear wheelwell, behind the rear seat speaker (sport) and mounted my amp to that....and it doesnt move an inch and hasnt overheated yet. i would have pics but it was pouring when i did it and i dont have a garage so i was kinda in a hurry to finish. WHEN i replace the RF sub, i'll get some pics of what i did with the amp.
