Bilstein Shocks.....

So I went on shockwarehouse to take advantage of their Bilstein promotion. I put my exploder in the menu (03 ex sport 2dr) and there is no option for the bilsteins! Then I try changing the year to 2001, and then I find it. So can I just purchase the shocks using 01 as the date and get it to work on my truck?

no 2001 is a totally different application!
it is quite possible Bilstein doesnt make shocks for your truck, yet

SWEAR WOOORDDD....darn I called Bilstein and they said the 03 doesn't have a shock made right now....the 01 only fits 01. Thanks for the heads up 410fortune. Well that's a kick in the butt for me...I was ready to click checkout.

HEADS UP TO 2003 FORD EXPLORER SPORT OWNERS, the Bilstein shocks for 2001 Ford Explorer sport will NOT fit the 2003 even though they are the same generation

mabe try some Edelbrock? they are what im getting and for a high end shock they are pretty reasonable.

if your looking for a smooth ride, those are not the shocks for you, they ride very stiff, you'll feel just about every detail in the road. They fit for me and my aggressive driving, but most people would probably be disappointed in the ride.

How are the 2001 and 2003 different? They should be the same.

The '01 Sport 2dr is pretty much the same as the '03 Sport 2dr. There are very few changes through this generation of 2dr Sports ('01-'03).
Mostly trim package differences and some features like the relocated rear window wiper. Shocks are the same on the '95-'03 2drs and '95-'01 4drs (2wd and 4wd).
The '02-up 4dr models are the ones that are completely redesigned.

Yeah, found it weird, but the guy at Bilstein insisted and said he works with Ford everyday so I didn't try to ask any more questions...
