I am going to give my BII a little height before heading to Moab in October. My question is do I go with a 2" PA body lift or should I get the 1.5" coil spacer? Has anyone had any experience with the coil spacer? I have owned a vehicle with a BL before and liked it for the most part. I didn't care much for the gaps between the body and frame though. The biggest tire I plan on running is 32" but will be running 31" in Moab. I don't want to get the coil spacer if it is problematic. Any comments are appreciated.

I don't think there are any drawbacks to the coil spacer, while there are for the BL.

i think for the tire size your gonna run go with the spacer setup. you can always put a bl on later if you want to up the tire size.

why not do both the spacers are only gonna cost you 25-35 bux and you will be that much higher??

Just to play devil's advocate a little, I am going to suggest the body lift.

Neither the coil spacer, nor the body lift are going to do anything to improve your offroad performance, other than allow you to run a larger tire. Yes, the body lift will emphasize a gap between the body and the frame and that is its main con. The coil spacer, however, will raise your center of gravity more than the body lift will.

From a functionality stand point, the body lift is the more logical way to go.

ok to back robb up, i have a bl and its fine. the gap isnt bad at all (imo) the only downside i have is the stiff spot in steering. (hardly noticable) i suggested the spacers because its alot cheaper and easier to install.

Thanks to everyone who has replied so far.

I was starting to lean towards the BL because of the alignment issues with the coil spacers. I think that eventually I will do both to achieve the amount of lift I am looking for. I guess for now I will have to decide if I want to pay for an alignment now or later. I am not going to do both yet because the tires I usually run are only 235/75 15s. The wife won't let me get new tires (i.e., bigger tires) until these ones wear out and I just put them on about a year ago. The 31s that I will have for Moab are from my bro's EX. He lost his tranny about three months ago and hasn't got it replaced yet.
